Haru no Nanakusa

We usually eat rice gruel with chopped seven herbs (We call ‘Nanakusa‘. Nana means seven in Japanese) on 7th January as a traditional custom. Then we wish for our health.

The landlord gave me these Nanakusa (fresh five edible herbs and two vegetables of early spring) were grown by her friend’s family in Kameoka city, this year too! Thanks a lot!
